Northeast Fish and Wildlife Agencies (2001-present)
TCI is supporting the development of the 2025 State Wildlife Action Plans produced by the 13 northeastern states (and Washington DC) to help the region prioritize species of greatest conservation need and the habitats they rely on, identify the most common threats facing these species and their habitats, and determine which conservation actions might be effective at mitigating these regional threats and supporting regional species of greatest conservation need.

Regional Synthesis of Conservation Research (2013, 2023)
As states prepared to revise their State Wildlife Action Plans (SWAPs), the task of incorporating a decade of regional conservation research was too large for every state to tackle. At the request of the northeastern region states, TCI delivered the Northeast Regional Synthesis - a report that organized this vast quanity of conservation research according to the 8 required elements of SWAPs. In collaboration with the North Atlantic Landscape Conservation Coorperative and the Nature Conservancy, this report also updated Regional Species of Greatest Conservation Need and provided a number of updated habitat assessments at the regional scale.
Northeast Regional SWAP Lexicon (2013)
States in the northeast region wanted to derive regional priorities from their 2005 State Wildlife Action Plans (SWAPs), but inconsistencies in language and format between states made that nearly impossible. In 2012, the Northeast Fish and Wildlife Diversity Technical Committee began developing a common data framework to meet the 8 required elements of SWAPs and ensure that a northeast regional perspective could be gained from 2015 SWAPs. TCI was instrumental in reaching a final agreement on the framework and documenting the guidance for SWAP coordinators.
